In the past 2021, another export product has become the "pastry" of the foreign trade industry.

In recent years, more and more overseas countries have gradually taken electric two-wheeled vehicles as one of the preferred ways to connect public transport, short-distance commuting and travel, including electric bicycles, electric motorcycles and electric scooters.

Last year, 22.9 million electric two-wheeled vehicles were exported.

Data show that in 2021, China exported 22.9 million electric two-wheeled vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 27.7%; The export volume was US $5.29 billion, a year-on-year increase of 50.8%.

At present, Europe and the United States are the main export markets of China's electric two-wheeled vehicles, and North America still maintains the largest market position in the export volume of electric two-wheeled vehicles. In 2021, China exported 9.965 million electric two-wheeled vehicles to North America, a year-on-year increase of 31.3%, accounting for 43.5%; Exports to Europe ranked second, with 7.628 million vehicles exported, a year-on-year increase of 23.6%, accounting for 33.3%; Exports to Asia ranked third, with 3.861 million vehicles exported, a year-on-year increase of 23.0%, accounting for 16.9%.

Although the largest number of electric two-wheeled vehicles are exported to North America, due to the high average unit price of electric two-wheeled vehicles exported to Europe, the amount exported to Europe is higher than that in North America. According to the data, in 2021, the export volume of China's electric two-wheeled vehicles to Europe reached US $2.02 billion, a year-on-year increase of 49.4%, accounting for 38.3%; Exports to North America reached US $1.75 billion, ranking second, with a year-on-year increase of 67.7%, accounting for 33.1%.

In addition, with the implementation of global green environmental protection, Southeast Asia has also begun to implement relevant policies to promote the demand for electric two-wheeled vehicles. It is understood that since 2020, Thailand has taxed motorcycles according to carbon dioxide emissions. The policy helps to promote the electrification of two-wheeled vehicles in Thailand, or is the main reason for the surge in China's export of electric two-wheeled vehicles to Thailand. In 2021, the number of electric two-wheeled vehicles exported by China to Thailand increased sharply, with a year-on-year increase of nearly 200%, with the fastest growth rate.

Intelligent and lightweight gradually replace the past two-wheeled vehicles and become a new growth point at present. At the same time, the consumer group is also becoming younger, which greatly promotes more and more vehicle enterprises to continuously increase their R&D and innovation ability and industrial chain integration, and improve their supply ability while stabilizing their product supply chain.

Overall, the global demand for electric two-wheeled vehicles is generally optimistic. Among them, green environmental protection and intelligence have become the development trend of electric two-wheeled vehicles in the future, which forces manufacturing enterprises to upgrade and develop to a certain extent.
